dc #95: MOON

The eve has been velvety
And now the moon is rising

I am alone but not lonely...
Imagine all the people watching the moon
Look in your eye... you in mine
 Via the moon
As a huge mirror

 A love song

Til the blue hour point a new day

Do you even see the moon at lightsome day as children do?

Our host this weekend is dear Patrice with her theme moon... so please
take a look at her beautiful place.

I paint a moon with white colour on black cardboard and feel happy. Then I cut a nightingale and listen to its lovely song... sit her on a branch of blossoming cherry... whitening the silhouette with white crayon... the moonlight.

I love this theme...
born in new light of the moon is the moon
in my horoscope in Cancer... in the mansion of  Aquarius...
love my
family
home
cooking
cycle
 the tide
e-motions...

"talkin' to you, Hon... Get well!"
;-)

  2. dear Ariane, reading your words and recalling the nightingale's song i heard this little folk song in my head and i just want to send it to you

    I See the Moon

CHO: Over the mountain, over the sea,
Back where my heart is longing to be,
Please let the light that shines on me
Shine on the one I love.

I see the moon; the moon sees me
Down through the leaves of the old oak tree.
Please let the light that shines on me
Shine on the one I love.

I hear the lark; the lark hears me,
Singing a song with a melody.
Please let the lark that sings for me
Sing for the one I love.

I kiss a rose; the rose kisses me,
Fragrant as only a rose can be.
Please let the Rose that comforts me
    Comfort the one I love.

    x

Thank you for this wonderful theme. And Renilde is right, wondering that it comes now, No. 95?! The moon, la luna... female.

      Love

I wonder if we will look at the moon in years to come and think of each other around the world joining in this drawing challenge? We'll always share the moon. xo Carole

  9. Und ich dachte sofort an den Raben von Edgar Allen Poe, da so im Mondesglanz, eine Nachtigal ist natürlich viel romantischer und hamletmässiger - so oder so, gefällt es mir super.

  10. For a minute I thought this was etched on glass...and I could totally see that image of the nightingale and moon on a piece of furniture or mirror- so lovely!

  11. Ah, Ariane, i love to hear your nightingale singing by the light of the beautiful moon you have drawn. Best is the thought, which I have often taken comfort in, that the same moon is in my eye and in my love's eye no matter how far apart we are. xxoo, sus

  13. Hi Ariane, that's a nice idea we all share the same moon, maybe that's why the theme is so inspiring! Moon and nightingale, how poetic...
