A year after

Trage Nagellack: 'in the lobby' and 'carry on'

Wear nail polish: 'in the lobby' and 'carry on'
during I pull apart with great strength all wet layers of large-sized photos, carefully, a bit at a time. These prints were despite portfolio melded to a fat stack in the Castle at the Eisenbach from the water for firefighting. In the meantime they were frozen and coated with mildew. All through the summer I exposed them to heat and light and now watered them again through the rain, so I can pull them apart anyway. All, all negatives of 20 years of analog photography were burned in the fire of the attic.

Suddenly and unexpectedly tears wells in my eyes, sometimes,
a year after. And, again and again shimmer of hope, inspiration:
fire and water, unifies.

It's all a phase, liminal

(See you with this theme at Veronica's this weekend!)

  1. Oh Ariane, our brave rose. Tear are welling in my eyes too. There is such a tragic sadness in these saved fragments. But, we must look ahead. Keep calm and carry on. Big hugs. XOXO

Brave heart rose!

  3. oh yes, the tears, that makes so much sense.
now your memories and beauty you have created have been touched physically becoming something different, more from an experience that will always be part of your history. These are beautiful to my eyes. Such a transformation....... they have been through.
